Manchester United sign 7 year deal with Chevrolet as official shirt sponsor

Aon's loss is Chevrolet gain. Aon which was the earlier sponsor of Manchester United will now be replaced by Chevrolet as the club's official shirt sponsor. This is a seven year deal that the football club will be signing with Chevrolet who is also official car partners of Red Devils The deal is signed and sealed but the amount has not been disclosed as Chevrolet becomes the fifth shirt sponsor in 134 year history of the club. The sponsorship will come into effect for the 2014-15 season.

This linkup between Chevrolet and Manchester United will see the name of Chevrolet blazoned across Manchester United jerseys which will add to coffers of Old Trafford. Chevrolet deal with Manchester United is slated to be over £20m per season which is what Aon is currently paying. Richard Arnold, Commercial Director of the club is ecstatic about this long term deal. They have been partners with Chevrolet for just 6 weeks and have already been reaping the benefits of this partnership.

Chevrolet will be supporting the team on their upcoming tour of South Africa, China and Europe and though it will benefit both parties it must be mentioned that it is also fans that really care about the club who will also be at an advantage.
