New Jaguar CX75 supercar hybrid 1.6L to be priced from £700,000 to £900,000

Once Jaguar C-X75 comes into markets, it will be seen as an ultra lightweight sports car with a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine offering 500 hp. However auto enthusiasts have a long wait ahead as the company has announced that this car is only slated to enter markets by end of 2013 or early 2014.

This vehicle will have a maximum speed of 200 mph (320 kmph) while possessing abilities to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 kmph) in less than 3 seconds. This factor is what will ensure that Jaguar C-X75 competes with the to be launched McLaren P11 and Porsche 918 hybrid supercars along with the fact that it is super lightweight. Jaguar is developing the hybrid supercar along with Williams and only 200 such C-X75 models will be produced.

It will be fitted with mid mounted engine of 600 volts battery pack which will transmit power to two electric motors which enable the vehicle to run on full battery power upto 40 mph speeds. Jaguar showcased this model at the last Paris Motor Show held in September 2011. Prices are slated to be in the range of £700,000 ($1.1 million or Rs 6.08 crores) to £900,000 ($1.4 million or Rs 7.82 crores).

Jaguar said, "Never before has the company launched such an ambitious, world-beating vehicle programme. This is the Jaguar of the future. The opportunity for innovation like this in the UK is part of the reason Tata Motors invested in Jaguar, and it's fantastic that products like the C-X75 can become reality."
