Mahindra Reva automobile manufacturing plant Indian Green Building Council awards Platinum rating

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. Announced that it was awarded the IGBC 'Platinum rating', in a site review by IGBC and is currently the first automobile manufacturing facility in India to receive this award. the IGBC Green Factory rating system is a measurement system designed for rating both new and existing factory buildings. Credits were scored based on site selection and planning, mandatory requirements, indoor environmental quality, occupational health, water and energy management and innovations and design process.

According to Dr Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Mahindra Reva is all about providing simple and efficient mobility and transportation facilities to supplement substantial living conditions. Presentation of this award will enable and encourage the company to pave a way for a clean and green tomorrow.

This award has showcased India's role in opting for green buildings and will encourage others to take up promote the same. Mr C Shekar Reddy, Chairman IGBC- Hyderabad Chapter & President, CREDAI Andhra Pradesh, hoped that many other companies would emulate what Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd has achieved and go the green way.
