Porsche most appealing car brand for 2012 – J D Power and Associates

According to J D Power and Associates Porsche has topped the list of most appealing cars during 2012. This is for the eighth year in a row that J D Power and Associates have been holding this Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout - APEAL Survey wherein the firm conducts surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality and buyer behavior where automobiles are concerned.

APEAL Survey questioned car owners on performance of their vehicles, their opinion on its appearance and how it makes them feel and in all counts Porsche was a sure shot winner. Porsche 911 and Cayenne models were major contributors to their success in this survey in which over 74000 people participated. The survey ran through February to May. Top luxury brands such as Rolls Royce and Ferrari were excluded from the survey.

Following Porsche at the top of the list, Jaguar, BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Cadillac and Infiniti followed in quick succession as other appealing brands for the year. Suzuki however was as the bottom of the list. J D Power and Associates is headquartered in Westlake Village, California. The company is a global marketing information services company operating in areas such as market research, forecasting, performance improvement and customer satisfaction. The company's study on quality and satisfaction measurements is based on responses from millions of consumers on a global level.
