Audi one-two-three victory in the 2012 Zandvoort DTM: Playboy Audi A5 DTM on top

Conducted over the last weekend, the DTM events were watched by over 39,000 spectators who congregated to watch the sport despite unfavorable and dangerous weather conditions. Edoardo Mortara's victory gained him 35 points closer to Gary Paffett. Mortara triumphed over Mike Rockenfeller despite the lead at the start but Montara managed to close the gap while overtaking him in lap 32 in Tarzan Bocht.

Audi is the first manufacturer to see one-two-three victories in the 2012 DTM season. This is their second victory of the season for the new Audi A5 at Zandvoort. Edoardo Mortara scored over his two other contemporaries Mike Rockenfeller and Mattias Ekström thus resulting all three Audi teams on the podium.

Ekström was responsible for completion of the Audi one-two-three results which ended in an exciting contest between him and Paffett which also saw Ekström overcome due to well chosen strategy and quick action at the pits. 1 year old Adrien Tambay also scored his first points at DTM coming in fifth place and contended with Bruno Spengler who has now been runner up in the standings.
