Mercedes DTM crew member suffers injuries in freak accident at Zandvoort

A freak accident occurred at the pits at Zandvoort, Netherlands on Saturday involving an AMG racecar and four Mercedes DTM crew members. The accident occurred when the mechanics were injured during a negligence that occurred on the pit lane after Mercedes AMG racing vehicle driven by Ralf Schumacher (brother of Michael Schumacher) stopped at the pits. A cable lying on the pit lane in front of the teams garage was dragged by the speeding car and pulled for some distance which resulted in four mechanics being thrown literally and figuratively off their feet.
