Confederate achieves 166.796 mph with X132 Hellcat Combat at BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials

At the Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway, 55 year old James Hoegh has successfully beaten his personal best record of 162.6 mph. But this is not what he set out for. He aims to beat the 168.912 mph record set by Wink Ellis in the APF3000 Class. James has managed to achieve 166.796 mph, and will be again giving a try later today.

In his quest for a land speed record, James will be riding a prototype of the X132 known as the X132 Hellcat Combat. The bike is powered by a modified version of the 132 cubic inch S&S XWedge engine. The engine boasts of a new and better oil pump, CNC ported heads with shorter cylinders, 11:1 compression ratio, custom dual track intake, radiused crankshaft and new rocker arms.

This prototype will be built in limited numbers for sale next spring. With the sale of these prototypes, the era of American V-twin substantive road bikes will come to an end.

Confederate X132 Hellcat is available at a price of $50,000. The prototype here, is expected to be even costlier. Indian cricket team captain, Dhoni  is known for his love towards fast motorcycles, he recently bought the X132 Hellcat.
