Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S to star in Paris Show: Price from 97,557 euros

Porsche has revealed 911 Carrera 4 and 4S 2013 variants with photos and details. Carrera 4 and 4S will be offered both as coupe and cabriolet. 3.8L rear mounted boxer engine will produce 345 hp in the Carrera 4 394 hp in Carrera 4S. These new Porschecars are seen with a lighter and more streamlined body weighing upto 65 kgs less than the all-wheel drive and this has resulted in enhanced performance and reduced fuel consumption by 16%.

New 911 Carrera 4 is seen with wider rear wheel arches on either side with a small red strip between taillights so as to seperate itself from 4S. 911 Carrera 4 is being offered in a choice of two seven speed transmissions and standard manual or optional PDK double clutch gearboxes. It will have the ability to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds while reaching a top speed of 177 mph. The Cabriolet model is slower on the uptake at 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph. Fuel consumption for the Coupe is at 8.6 liters per 100 kms while the Cabriolet is at 8.7 liters per 100 kms and CO2 emissions are at 203 g/km and 205 g/km respectively.

To make its appearance at the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show, both these models will go on sale in Europe before the year is out. Prices in Germany are slated to start from €97,557 for 911 Carrera 4 Coupe while the cabriolet will be priced at €110,290. 2013 911 Carrera 4S coupe is priced from €112,313 and cabriolet is priced from €125,046. US markets however will have to wait for these models to reach dealer showrooms only by early 2013.where prices will start at $91,980 for Carrera 4 coupe and $103,880 for cabriolet, including destination charges.
