Hack Google Chrome and Win big Money: Google offers a chance to win $2 million at Pwnium 2

After the manic response the first Pwnium contest got earlier this year, Google has taken notice and is offering a cash prize of $2 million at Pwnium 2. This is two times more than what was offered in the previous contest. Anybody that can find relevant security flaws in Google Chrome stands a chance to win money.

Considering Google has upped the stakes considerably on this one, one would expect Google Chrome to be impenetrable. But, the number of talented hackers around the globe has increased too making this challenge that much more interesting. Pwnium 2 will be held in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, during the 10th anniversary conference of ‘Hack in the Box’ on October 10.

Google will pay cash in 4 categories. $60,000 for Full Chrome Exploit, $50,000 for Partial Chrome Exploit, $40,000 for Non-Chrome Exploit. Rest of the amount will be awarded by the panel to individuals that come up with incomplete exploits (an exploit that is not full or unreliable). Let the hack game begin.
