Dhoni's motorcycle racing team will race at Buddh Circuit in India on 10th March 2013

Mahindra Singh Dhoni, captain of Indian cricket team may be adept with his cricket bat but he is equally at home astride a motorcycle. His love for motorsports has initiated him to venture into this arena not as a racer but as owner of 'Kawasaki MSD RN Team India'. This team was announced last month and will be participating in Supersport World Championships.

The first race took place from July 20 to 22 in Brno, Czech Republic where 19 year old Florian Marino and 24 year old Dan Linfoot represented the team. Kawasaki MSD RN Team has since participated in 17 races and Dhoni's team has raced in three of them. The next races are scheduled for September 7 to 9 at Nurburgring, Germany.

Dhon's racing team, Kawasaki MSD RN Team India, is scheduled to race in India at the Buddh International Circuit next year during thee weekend of 8-10 March. Speaking of their further plans, Team Principal, Amit Sandill said that they were keen to ensure that this motorsport receives its fair share of attention in Asia and specially in India where it is yet to be developed. Besides owning a team, there were also plans to set up a Racing Academy.

Dhoni's love for motorcycles is not new. The skipper has a number of motorbikes to his credit and his latest acquisition is a Confederate X132 Hellcat muscle bike which he takes for a ride whenever he gets time out from his busy schedule of captaining the Indian Cricket Team.
