Has Instagram lost its charm? New app developed restores effects laden photos to their original form

By now, majority of net users have gotten tired of Instagram’s mundane ways. The number of images on the internet with retro effects added by using the photo filter firm’s apps has reduced significantly. Well, how long can a trend last?

Social network users are of the opinion Instagram needs a makeover and many believe it will only be possible if Facebook goes ahead with its plans of buying the photo filter firm. Fed up of the monotony surrounding Instagram, Joe Macirowski has developed an app that normalizes effects laden photos to its original state.

The app just costs $1 and runs on iPad or iPhone. What the app does is take an Instagram image and runs it through a complex algorithm series to return the image to its original state. This new app is also able to eliminate color filters that are applied on the left or right side of an Instagram image.

On his blog Joe Macirowski wrote” Instagram isn’t certainly new, and it’s actually an app I enjoy, but every now and then, I encounter a picture in the ‘real world’ (AKA, any site outside of Instagram) where someone decides it is a good idea to use it when trying to take a picture of something they’re legitimately trying to show. So, I wrote Normalize”.
