Skoda in Moscow: Rapid, Yeti Sochi unveiled, Yeti 1.4 TSI DSG world debut

Czech car maker has revealed the European Rapid sedan at the ongoing Moscow International Auto Show (MIAS) in Russia. Apart from the Rapid, Skoda has also unveiled a special edition of their SUV, Yeti specially for Russian car buyers. Named Yeti Sochi, the special edition of Yeti is designed to as a preview to Skoda's sponsorship of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Yeti Sochi will be available at Skoda dealerships in Russia from 2013.

Yeti Sochi is powered by a 1.8L petrol TSI engine mated to a six speed DSG transmission, generating max output of 150 bhp. Skoda has also made the world debut of Yeti 1.4 TSI DSG in Moscow at the MIAS.

This country is one of the world's strongest-growing market and offers tremendous potential for Skoda. We intend to resolutely continue our dynamic development of recent years. We will have more capacity in the future so as to further raise our sales in Russia."
