Currently there are few high end tablets in the Indian market. Demand for low cost tablets in this part of the world is exceedingly high which is why tablet makers are reluctant to introduce expensive devices. Demand for Samsung products is huge in India. The company has launched its Galaxy Note 800 that runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This tablet has a 10.1 inch WXGA TFT LCD capacitive touch screen with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800. The stunning tablet has a 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 quad core CPU, Mali-400MP GPU and 2GB AM. As of now Samsung has released only the 16 GB version of this tablet in the country. 32GB and 64GB versions of this tablet are expected at a later stage.
Galaxy Note 800 has a 1.9 megapixel front camera and a 5 megapixel main camera with LED flash. USB 2.0 High Speed, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI Out, and Assisted GPS are some among the many features included in the device. Samsung claims the 7000 mAh battery offers a talk time of 33 hours when fully charged, however considering its screen size this aspect is debatable. The tablet is available at Samsung’s official store at a price of Rs 38,000. What’s interesting about this device is it supports a split screen mode allowing you to access two apps simultaneously.
