Finally, after 25 years Microsoft opts for a new look

For those bored of seeing the same old Microsoft logo, your prayers have been answered. After many years Microsoft has finally opted for a new look. In an official blog post General Manager, Brand Strategy, Microsoft, Jeff Hansen announced that the new logo will now be used in all Microsoft products.

Although many users that have loved the old logo have expressed their displeasure in regard with the new one, Microsoft will stay firm on its decision. Since the official announcement the new logo has been implemented on Microsoft’s site. It will take a few months before retail outlets all over the world showcase the new emblem.

It’s going to be a make or break situation for Microsoft in the days ahead. The software powerhouse is gearing up for release of its new OS mobile platform. Although the logo change is not a huge shift from its previous emblem, it does say a lot about Microsoft’s ambitious future. Do you like the new logo or are you a fan of the old one?
